Hybrid: studio + live online + practicum

Location

Rosewolff Studio, Downtown Los Angeles

Maat Yoga is a Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga School (RYS 300). Led by Ja Cole, E-RYT 500 and Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provider.

Invitation

An Invitation Into Advanced Practice

This training is for teachers who know that yoga is more than sequencing, posture, or performance.

The Maat Wellness 300-Hour Advanced Decolonized Yoga Teacher Training is a space to become more skillful, more honest, more embodied, and more responsible in how you practice, teach, lead, and serve.

Rather than repeating the foundation of a 200-hour training, this advanced program asks: How do we apply the maps of yoga with discernment? How do we adapt practice to real bodies and real lives? How do we integrate philosophy, nervous system awareness, subtle-body teachings, cultural restoration, and community care?

Fit

This Training Is For You If

  • You have completed a 200-hour yoga teacher training and are ready for deeper study.
  • You want to move beyond memorized sequences into responsive teaching.
  • You are drawn to Decolonized Yoga, Maat, mental yoga, cultural restoration, and community care.
  • You want to deepen meditation, pranayama, subtle-body study, and philosophical inquiry.
  • You want mentorship, practice teaching, feedback, and a capstone rooted in service.
  • You are ready to examine your teaching voice, your relationship to power, and your responsibility as a guide.

What Makes It Different

Advanced Study With Maat Wellness Roots

Advanced Decolonized Yoga

Students examine yoga through practice, history, embodiment, cultural responsibility, and service.

Maat as Framework

Truth, balance, reciprocity, responsibility, and right relationship shape practice, teaching, leadership, and repair.

Upanishadic Inquiry

Meditation, awareness, self, mind, liberation, and the koshas are approached as tools for embodied self-inquiry.

Mental Yoga through the Gita

Students study the mind in the middle of life: grief, action, responsibility, attachment, discernment, and liberation.

Advanced Teaching Discernment

Teachers learn to apply, adapt, integrate, and teach classical maps responsibly and pedagogically.

Capstone and Legacy

The training culminates in supervised practicum and a capstone rooted in real community care.

Training Arc

The Transformation Arc

Six progressive modules build the teacher from the inside out. The complete 300HR pathway then extends Seba through supervised practicum, mentorship, capstone work, and the Advanced Teaching Residency.

Two Study Paths

Choose the full certification track or begin with a standalone module.

The Maat Wellness 300HR and the standalone YACEP module offerings are related, but they are not the same enrollment path. The full 300HR is the advanced certification journey. The standalone modules are continuing education offerings for teachers who want to study one area first.

Full 300HR Certification Track

For teachers ready to enter the full Advanced Decolonized Yoga journey from September 2026 through May 2027. This path includes all six modules, supervised practicum, capstone, graduation review, and the Maat Wellness certificate of completion.

YACEP Continuing Education

Standalone Module Track

For teachers who want to study one module at a time before committing to the full certification path. Completed standalone modules from this cohort are designed to count toward the Maat Wellness 300HR when a student chooses to continue and completes the remaining program requirements.

Standalone module registration does not include the supervised practicum, capstone review, graduation, or 300HR certification by itself.

Standalone CE Module Pricing

Flexibility has value. Commitment has a clear reward.

The six standalone CE modules, including Seba, let teachers enter the work one area at a time. Individual module tuition is priced for that flexibility. Early Registration is reserved for students committing to the complete 300HR pathway.

Full 300HR Early Registration is open June 19-July 31, 2026. Full tuition begins August 1, 2026. Standalone CE modules use the fixed prices below.
